Owl Pellet summary
1. An owl swallows another organism such as a vole. It then regurgitates the parts of the food that it can't digest in the form of a pellet. Owl Pellets aren't the same as poop because poop is usually digested and owl pellets aren't.
2. As I was sorting through my owl pellet I was looking to find evidence of a non apex predator like a rat, a mole, a bird, or a vole in its diet.
3. Most often we found vole pieces. It tells us that owls are predators that eat small organisms. Owls eat different foods.
4.My pellet had a rat. The primary habitat of a rat is a comunity together in high areas like tree, attics, or in areas where they can burrow. Yes, because owls can live in high places like an attic of a barn or trees.
5. Owls woundn't get enough food and their population would decrease. It keeps the population in the biospere from getting too large.
6.The ecosystem includes a lot of different organisms that fulfill different role.
